The Queen of Female Graffiti Artists: TooFly
TooFly is the leading lady for female graffiti artists, with more than 10 years in the game. However, graffiti is not her only venture. She reaches out to her community and inspires young individuals to create their own art and improve on business skills. She has also helped develop Younity Art Collective, which is an international urban arts collective made up of around over 100 women painters, illustrators, photographers, designers, graffiti and street artists. She says,
"We started Younity because many of us got tired of getting the whack wall to paint, the back room at the gallery and being the only female in a group show full of male artists. We felt we needed to create some balance and the only way to do that was to come together and do it ourselves. Our crew of six women now produce exhibitions, street aerosol and mural art, panel discussions, youth workshops and designer markets. By creating Younity, we have been able to represent many of our friends in a professional manner, but most of all stay true to our down to earth approach, which welcomes our community.
